Short answer: a brokerage fee is what a broker charges for arranging your equipment finance. It is separate from the lender's own fees, and separate from any commission the lender pays the broker. Ask for every fee in dollars, and whether it is added to the loan, so you can see what each one does to the total cost.
When a fee is added to the amount financed, it is repaid over the term with interest on top. The fee may look small on the quote, but the amount you pay for it by the end of the loan is larger. Asking whether each fee is paid up front or added to the loan tells you which.
Some lenders pay brokers a commission for arranging a loan. That is separate from any brokerage fee you are charged. If you go ahead with Capital Hill Finance, any broker fee, our commission and the lender's fees are shown in writing, in dollars, before you sign.
The business finance quote checker adds up every fee and shows an effective rate including fees next to the rate on the quote. The difference between the two is what the fees add.
